About women’s health

Men and women experience many of the same illnesses, although some are unique to women, such as cervical cancer and endometriosis. Women are more likely than men to experience blood and metabolic disorders, neurological conditions and musculoskeletal conditions, and the most common cancer for Australian women is breast cancer. Women are also more likely than men to seek help for health conditions, and they can expect more years in full health. The leading cause of death amongst women is dementia followed by Alzheimer’s disease.

Regular health checks

With CBHS Corporate Extras or package cover, you’re eligible for generous benefits on health checks and health management services. Health checks include breast exams, bone density tests, skin cancer screening, bowel cancer screening and eye screenings. Hospital care at home

Hospital care at home

If you’re keen to shorten any hospital stay or even avoid hospital altogether, you may be eligible for our CBHS Corporate Hospital in the Home service. Depending on your circumstances, the program may include a combination of nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, personal care or home support. There’s no cost if the medical services are an appropriate substitute for treatment that would be fully covered in hospital under your Hospital or Package cover. People living with a chronic disease, or those who may be at risk of developing a one, are more likely to suffer more serious illness if they contract COVID-19. Our Better Living programs can help you manage chronic disease and develop strategies to better manage your health at a time when you need it most.
