Programs to improve your sleep
Regular exercise, a healthy diet and reducing stress can all help to improve your sleep. Do you have CBHS Extras or packaged cover? Depending on your level of Extras, you can claim for weight management programs, stress management programs and gym memberships/personal training using your CBHS Wellness Benefit limits. Read more about our Wellbeing benefits.
Sleep apnoea can interrupt your sleep many times a night, yet many people are unaware they have the condition. The most successful treatment is continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). Depending on your level of cover, you can claim benefits towards the cost of hiring a CPAP machine or purchasing an apnoea guard that can also help combat snoring. Check the full list of health care aids here.
Support your mental wellbeing
Frequent or prolonged lack of sleep can lead to anxiety and stress. Your CBHS Extras or packaged cover offers benefits on mental health support from clinical psychologists that can help to reduce anxiety if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can treat sleep disorders and sleep disturbances. Stress management courses are also covered by CBHS Wellness benefits. See your GP in the first instance if you’re having trouble sleeping. Check your policy for details or view CBHS packaged or Extras cover.
